Did you know that a vehicle can have between 28,000 to 30,000 parts? Many of them will wear out over time. Below we’ve summarized our vehicle repair and maintenance services. The list isn’t definitive, so if you see something you need, please give us a call.
- Air Conditioning—We’ll keep you cool all summer long. The AC system can get complicated, so just a few of the components we look at are the system fan, PSI pressure, Freon level, compressor, belts, and hoses.
- Brakes—Taking care of the entire braking system involves the brake pads (or shoes), brake rotors or drums (which may need to be resurfaced), as well as the brake fluids and lines.
- Coolant System Services—The coolant (also known as antifreeze) is one of your vehicle’s most important fluids. Problems with the coolant system can be traced to the radiator, radiator hoses, radiator fan, fan clutch, thermostats – even the radiator cap. Also at risk for problems are the water pump, temperature sensors, heater cores, and hoses.
- Electrical Service—We can troubleshoot or replace problems with your alternator, battery, or starter.
- Engine Service—Regular maintenance of your vehicle’s engine components will keep it on the road so much longer than a neglected one. Just several of the components that make up the engine’s system include: spark plugs, spark plug wires, air & fuel filters, timing components, etc.
- Exhaust—Just think about it… .the muffler, exhaust pipe, and catalytic converter are enduring a lot of heat as well as wear and tear. After all, they are located under the vehicle! This system is much more than just a pipe spewing out exhaust gases. Damage to this system can be dangerous to the vehicle’s passengers, so don’t put off any noises you hear from this area.
- Fluid Service—Just like humans need their fluid to function properly, so does your automobile or truck. There’s oil, brake fluid, coolant fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid. Over time, these fluids can get dirty and contaminated, so they need to be removed from your car and replaced.
- Fuel System—Remember that the fuel filter needs to be replaced regularly to help your engine run better. We can also help diagnose problems with the vehicle’s fuel pump, fuel-pressure regulator, fuel lines, and fuel injectors.
- Oil Change—Let us recommend a high-quality motor oil that is suitable for the weather and your driving frequency. We’ll change the oil filter and check the cabin filter and air filter. We also visually check several other systems in your car, from the windshield washer fluid to the undercarriage.
- Preventative Maintenance—With so many parts in your car and systems that interoperate, there’s a lot that can go wrong. We have an inspection checklist we follow to detect malfunctioning and worn out parts.
- Radiator—Nowadays, radiators don’t always last for the lifetime of your vehicle. We have several tests we can run to see if your radiator is still doing its job to keep your engine running at the optimum temperature. If necessary, we can repair or replace the radiator as well as any hoses, belts, fan, and thermostat. Of course, we can also flush the coolant as a maintenance step.
- Suspension—Suspension feeling bouncy or does the handling seem off? Getting a growling or grinding sound when you turn? There are several things we can look at in case they need repair or replacement: shocks or struts, wheel bearings, coil springs, tie rod ends, ball joints, stabilizer bars and bushings.
- Tires—We can make sure that the tires are safely inflated and check the wear on the treads to see if we need to address rotation or alignment. For additional information, see our Tires page.
- Transmission—Problems with the transmission can include the clutch, transmission fluids and hoses, transfer case, front and rear differentials, and more. But it doesn’t have to be expensive if you catch them early enough. We can diagnose and repair this all-important system so you get many more years out of your vehicle.
